Kraków Concert Schedule 23-29.06

You get to relax for the first few days of the week, but coming thursday, there's a lot to see. There will be a separate post dedicated to the program of Krakow Jewish Festival, below are the events not related to it in any way, that seem to deserve your attention as well.

26-27.05 Significant Time at Piec'ART
A Norwegian quartet with a fresh and bit quirky approach to vocal jazz formula. A lot of fun, definitely unorthodox, joyfull and vivacious. The band is: Signe Irene Time – vocal, Øyvind Dale – piano, Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson- Bass, Raymond Lavik – Drums.

26.05 DM&P Trio and Tomek Choloniewski in Alchemia
A radical electro-acoustic noise improv trio (I had a plesure to write about their cd "Insular Dwarfism" a while ago), uncompromising sound and approach to avant-guarde music. The trio will be joined by Tomek Choloniewski on drums

27.05 Low Roar / Oly in Alchemia
Straight from Island, a melancholic, subtle, intimate music by Low Roar, on the demand of the public that filled the Alchemia space on the last occasion. Support by the young polish acoustic singer / songwriter Oly.

28.06 Institute of Intuition with Renata Guzik in Galeria i!
Another meeting with the Institute of Intuition which this time will be represented by Michal Dymny, Rafal Mazur and Tomek Choloniewski and will be joined by Renata Guzik (flutes). Art Gallery i! becomes a busy place for the improvised music.

28.06 Pawel Kaczmarczyk Direction in Music - Hank Mobley at Harris Piano Jazz Bar
Pawel Kaczmarczyk is straight of the studio having recorded a second album by his core group Audiofeeling and his back on stage to tribute another one of his musical heroes. The quartet playing Hank Mobley tunes will consist of Tomasz Grzegorczyk on sax, Adam Kowalewski on bass and Arek Skolik on drums. It will be a hard bop night.
